The brief

The Bahamas Shipowners Association represents the shipowners of the sixth largest ship registry in the world. The brief was to design exhibition posters that were to be displayed in Bahamas stands at various maritime industry events. The clients requested visuals that represented both The Bahamas, with easy to recognise Bahamian landmarks, and a nautical theme.

I See The Light

After researching nautical landmarks in The Bahamas the lighthouse on Elbow Cay was identified and a photoshoot in The Bahamas was scheduled. The posters were created using a montage of the images taken. Additional graphic elements were also added in order to give the appearance of depth. It was decided that a strong visual should occupy most of the poster in order to draw the attention at busy events. Several versions of the posters were designed to be used at events throughout the year.
